It all began in 1994... Former Ballet Philippines soloist Sofia Zobel - Elizalde founded Steps Dance Studio in small bungalow in Bel-Air Village, Makati City. After more than a decade, the studio that started with only a few students is now among the most comprehensive dance schools in the country.

With top-of-its-class facilities and highly trained dance instructors, Steps has earned a solid reputation as one of the most innovative and creative dance studios, with its ballet programme following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, attributing to its founder's expertise as a registered RAD teacher. Steps Dance Studio is designed to create an ideal and maximum learning environment and aims to be the best and most versatile dance establishment in the Philippines.

Our mission is:

• To provide teachers that are PROFESSIONAL and HIGHLY QUALIFIED in their own specific field of dance resulting in the best training possible;

• To provide a wide variety of dance classes for students of all levels and all ages;

• To provide a venue and atmosphere that is most suitable for excellent dance training.

Sofia Zobel - Elizalde was educated at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Dance School (Manila), Elmhurst Ballet School (England), School of American Ballet (New York, USA) and San Francisco Ballet School (San Francisco, USA ). She was a recipient of the prestigious Sylphide Cup award for Most Outstanding Performance in Elmhurst Ballet School.

A former company member & soloist of Ballet Philippines, Ms. Elizalde is currently a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance and is the Teachers' Representative of the RAD Teachers' Association of the Philippines.
